The study aimed to evaluate the in vivo antiplasmodial activity of an aqueous extract aerial parts Ipomoea pes-caprea mice infected with Plasmodium berghei. Extracts were obtained from decoction dried leafy stem plant. extracts used for evaluation which was done according two methods: Rane test curative effect while Peters suppressive effect. Four concentrations (25, 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg) administered orally during tests. results showed a dose-dependent decrease parasitaemia. dose mg/kg bwt inhibited parasitaemia percentage suppression equal 50.89% without resulting significant body weight loss animals (p?0.05), but showing survival rate identical that chloroquine.
